SolOske

SolOske was an application designed to simplify the download of image galleries from the web for offline review.

It offered the option to download them into a folder to be located anywhere in the local disk or to pack them up in a CBZ file for easy review in a graphics display program like Simple Comic on Mac OS X or ComikBookLover on iOS or ComicRack on Windows.

You could use SolOske in two ways:

  1. Pasting a URL to download all images embedded or linked in a webpage.

Paste your URL in the field…

Specify if you want the linked or embedded images in the page…

  2. Pasting a URL from one of the “Recognized” websites to download all images from it in a sensible format.

In all cases, once SolOske started parsing the page it’d show it’s progress by displaying thumbnails of the images it was downloading:

Images will be downloaded…

When finished, depending on the preferences images would be saved in the pre-defined folder as either a CBZ file or a new folder with images:

Preferences Screen…

Final CBZ file…
