Privacy Policy for Aguará
Effective Date: October 9, 2026
Last Updated: October 9, 2026
Overview
Aguará is a logic-puzzle game for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. It has no ads, no accounts and no tracking. This privacy policy explains what happens to your information when you play.
We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal information. We have no servers that receive your data.
Your Progress and Settings (iCloud)
- Your solved puzzles, puzzles in progress, settings and hints are kept on your device.
- If you're signed in to iCloud, they also sync between your own devices through Apple's iCloud, in your private iCloud storage.
- We cannot see or access anything stored in your iCloud account.
- You can turn iCloud off for Aguará in your device's Settings at any time.
Game Center (Optional)
- If you sign in to Game Center, your achievements and leaderboard scores (such as solve times) are sent to Apple's Game Center under your Game Center profile.
- What other players can see is controlled by your Game Center settings.
- The game works fully without Game Center.
Checking Today's Date
So that the Daily puzzle can't be unlocked early by changing the device clock, Aguará reads the current date from well-known websites (apple.com, icloud.com and cloudflare.com). Nothing about you or your play is sent: these are ordinary web requests, and like any web request they reveal your IP address to those sites.
What We Don't Collect
- No personal information
- No account creation or registration
- No email addresses, names or contact information
- No advertising or advertising identifiers
- No tracking across apps or websites
- No location data
- No cookies
- No usage analytics in this version (see Changes to This Policy)
In-App Purchases
Aguará offers optional purchases: all premium themes, and packs of extra hints. Every puzzle can be solved without buying anything.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store
- We never receive payment information
- Extra hints you buy are kept in your private iCloud storage, so they're available on all your devices
Crash Reports and Beta Testing
- If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us. Apple controls this, and you can turn it off at any time.
- If you test Aguará through TestFlight, Apple shares the feedback and screenshots you choose to send, crash reports, and the name or email address you joined with, as described by Apple's TestFlight terms.
Data Sharing
We do not share any data, because we do not collect any.
- No advertising networks
- No third-party analytics services
- No data brokers
Children's Privacy
Aguará does not collect any information from users of any age, including children under 13.
Your Rights
- Access: everything Aguará keeps is on your devices and in your own iCloud account
- Deletion: deleting the app removes its data from the device; data synced to iCloud can be deleted in your device's iCloud settings
- Control: iCloud and Game Center can be turned off in your device's Settings
Legal Basis (EU Users)
We do not process your personal data. Data synced through iCloud and Game Center is processed by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.
California Privacy Rights
For California residents: since we do not collect, sell or share personal information, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) disclosure requirements do not apply to Aguará.
Changes to This Policy
A future version of Aguará may add anonymous usage counts (for example, how many puzzles of each kind are started and finished in a day), with a setting to turn them off. They would contain no personal information or identifiers. This policy will be updated before any such version is released, with a new effective date.
